For this step you will need to depin and repin your existing stock DME connector for the ignition coils. Remove the ignition coil connector from the DME connector housing. Familiarize yourself with the wire/terminal positions labeled on the connector as seen below in green. There are 6 total wires with 3 one each side of the connector.

Remove all wires from the connector by inserting a depinning tool into the highlighted slots below. Apply light pressure to the depinning tool in the opposite direction of the terminal. This will depress the tab on the terminal and allow you to remove the wire from the connector by pulling the wire out of the connector. Make sure you keep the tab depressed while pulling on the wire. Two of the wire terminals have their locking tabs exposed on the outside of the connector. Simply depress these tabs while lightly pulling on the wire. The wires should separate from the connector body with minimal effort.

Next familiarize yourself with the terminals on the end of our ignition coil harness. You will find a heatshrink label on each wire with numbers from 1 to 6 circled in red below.

The wires must be installed into the correct position or vehicle/engine damage can occur!

Starting with the wire labeled number 1, insert the terminal into the corresponding position (1) in the connector you depinned above (DME ignition coil connector). Continue inserting all wires into their correct positions and recheck your work to ensure the wires have been inserted into the correct positions.

The wires must be installed into the correct position or vehicle/engine damage can occur!

At this point the ignition coil connector can be reinserted into the DME connector housing.
